Because they taste good, most of them don't make it to the fish tank :)

I keep some of the "blueclaw" strain of the ordinary yabby in a 100 gallon
tank at home, they are fascinating. With a little luck and a loan approval
we may well be farming them commercially (but not full-time) someday soon.

I was talking to a couple of people at the convention who thought that some
of the Euastacus (sp?) spiny crays might make interesting long-term
aquaculture subjects, getting as they do to a couple of kilos in weight
(and thus being able to compete directly for market share with lobsters).

Now Rainbowfish, I am told, taste like crap :)

Cheers, Andrew
