G'day Tyrone,

I must admit to not really feeding my honey blueeye fry, they live in my
pond and grow from about 5mm to 1.5mm in 6 months over the summer period.
They swim right at the surface and like to congregate in a current so they
must be after zooplankton or microcrustaceans that are washed down the
stream.

I have heard a theory that says they live on some tiny animals that are
found on or amongst stands of eleocharis or triglochin. These are sedge type
plants found throughout mellis' habitat. I have two ponds, one with sedges
and one without and the blueeyes breed happily in both.

Regards,
Barry.
