Bruce,

All is ok. The attachment is sitting on the top right corner of the
message display window, you should see a yellow paper clip there. If you
click on the paper clip it will open a small window showing a list of
attachments (in this case SATNIGHT.DOC). Click on this file and it should
open.

I wasn't able to read it as I don't have MS Word on my computer. If the
file tries to open in MS Wordpad you will get a message unable to open this
type of document. In this case after clicking the paperclip icon hold down
the CTRL key when you click on SATNIGHT.DOC, this will bring up the "SAVE
ATTACHMENT AS" requester and you can save the file to your TEMP directory.
Then use MS Word to open the file.

There is a lot to learn when we change e-mail programs as they all behave
differently. It would be nice though if we (the RML gang) could
standardise on file types as there will always be some people that don't
have access to some of the programs to read other persons documents.

- I would suggest sending all text files including attachments as straight
ASCII to make it easier.
- I think that ZIP compression files are standard on IBM's but I don't know
about Macintosh, does anyone out there have any suggestions?

Regards,
Barry Meiklejohn.
