of course he only shows a picture of a female P. tenellus. But,
as somebody who already tried to get some pictures of fishes
(a few hundred photos must already have been published) I can
swear that it is very difficult to make good photos of small fish
of a certain kind.
1. This damned fish don't show their brightest colours if you put
them into your phototank. However, if you have them long
enough in there, they will show their colours.
2. This tricky fish (try it and tell me how long it lasted before
you wanted to kill the fish) have a very unfair character:
They're moving. You see a brillantly looking fish, look
through your camera focus, think you made a good photo
and if you see the results, you again want to kill the fish -
how many unsharp or tail photos to you want to have?
I have tried to photograph P. cyanodorsalis. They are
absolutely georgious if mating males turn around each
other with extended fins. But there is no chance to make
a photo!
