The author is really Ray Leggett, a Queenslander, aquarist, aquarium fish judge, professional/commercial provider of wildlife surveys(he has a small business called "Aquatic Field Surveys") and above all a keen native fish enthusiast from way back when it
wasn't fashionable to keep native fishes.
Ray has been a stalwart of the hobby and one of the few expert breeders up here who has definite recognised credibility with hobbyist, museum, national parks and fisheries alike. John Merrick provided the publishing expertise and the access to Gunther Sch
