Thanks for responding back, I am just starting in this hobby , I will
do my
best to be specific.
Water Conditions:
Average temp 86degF
pH - 6.8
Total Hardness - +-90ppm
Total Alkalinity/Buffering Capacity - >80ppm
Tank Cap. 38gal, weekly water change 10gal (RODI)
Fish age ? size 3cm
Symptoms: 1 Bloated abdomen, stays at the surface a lot and don't eat
well
2 dark spots at body but swims well and eats well
Feeding: Frozen foods, Flakes, Tetra bits, Discus Red, Daphnia,
Plankton
I feed them twice a day, Caned stuff in the morning and frozen in the
evening.
Tank mates: (crowded) I am in the process of getting a new tank,
2lrg,2med,2sml Discus - 4 Congo tetras(med) - 1 Australian
Bosemani(med) - 1
Black Ghost(6") 1 Golden Nugget pleco(small) 1 ancistrus Pleco (med) 3
Small
catfish(don't know exact name) and two silver hatchets(small)
Live plants (average amount)
Timer controlled peat on a whisper filter 8 hours a day
Timer controlled lights 5 hours a day to avoid algae
Magnum 350 with two bio-wheels full time (carbon)
1 under gravel Nitrex box (media change every 6 months)
Added with every water change(recommended dose)
Cycle, Black water extract, Aquarisol, Freshwater plants supplement,
RO
Right dissolved solids and Stress coat.
