Obviously this has continued to bother me. Understandably taxonomy tends to
change and additional research comes in after a book is published. Some
publishers, one of fish books especially comes to mind, but will remain
unnamed, especially since they have changed hands a couple of times
recently, ;) also seem to have someone do the photo editing who had nothing
to do with editing the text. This can lead to awful blunders. For their
part, it appears that the Tetra books of the later '80s and '90s are much
better edited for language than the old Aquarium Digest International series
of the '70s and early '80s.
What would be the corrections and/ or updates which one should be aware of
in Rainbowfish In Nature and In The Aquarium? It is not a burning issue
needing to be answered post haste, but what would those corrections be? Or,
is there a correction list somewhere online?
Thanks,
Scott
