Chris,

It's not that I wouldn't love to trade fish if I had more to trade. I've
only really been doing rainbows with the intent to breed for a little over a
year, then I had to wait until the fish grew up. I finally was able to start
spawning mine this spring. I breed a lot of other fish too so I can't be
constantly trying to produce rainbows but I have gotten a few fish for my
efforts and I'm hoping to be able to work more on getting some to trade.

I've so far produced a measly 7 wanams, I had a batch of Giddy tris, but
accidently killed them off on a water change. I had a great batch of tri
eggs this week, put them in a tank to hatch, checked the next day and found
myself with a huge batch of planeria instead. EEK! :) I did get my praecox
to spawn too, but only have 4 more females from that effort. Those are the
only 3 types of bows I have that can spawn. I have 2 ramuensis but I don't
know if they are male and female yet as they are still pretty young.

Basically what I'm saying is I'd trade fish if I had them to trade, I'm
working on it as best as I can. Quite honestly it's not always easy for some
of us to come up with the cash to buy some fish. I do almost all my fish
keeping from trading with stores and other keepers, and the small amount I
earn from making web pages. It's expensive to keep 50 tanks running.

I'm trying to say, I'm sure there are a number of us who would love to be
trading rainbows if we had something to offer. Now if anyone ever wants to
trade fish for plants, that's something I generally have an abundance of.
When I get fish I do everything in my power to try to breed them. Also even
when I get extra Giddy tris, praecox and wanams, will anyone want them?
