Albino rainbowfish

Has anyone ever seen an albino rainbowfish? A fellow here in town swore
that he saw some of his M. papuae fry that looked like an albino. His
fry tank went green on him and when it cleared up the albino was gone.
Yeah, sure I thought, papuae are kind of pale when then are young. Well
I got a bad mop of papuae from him where only 2 of the eggs hatched. Not
very pleased, especially when his adults crashed and burned (he has more
juves growing). I added them to another small tank with other fry. Well
as far as I can tell one is an albino! It is still only 1/2 inch in
length (12mm) but the flashlight shows a pink eye and a pale pinkish
fish. Very slow grower & I will have to put him in with smaller fish
soon so he doesn't get eaten.
Had never heard of anything like this before. Has anyone seen any other
albinos and if so what species?
