I believe that probably all our rainbowfish carry this latent problem and it
only surfaces when environmental conditions deteriorate. However, depending
on original source of fish this can manifest itself rapidly in even good
conditions. Again, another good reason to know where your fish are coming from.
If you ever get the problem you should destroy all fish in the aquarium,
chlorinate the whole thing, strip it down and start again!
