this, but
while I enjoy the list and find the members most helpful, there are a lot
of posts which are more personal asides to friends than meant for general
consumption. It is a waste of my time to be receiving these - they should
be posted person to person, not to the list, unless they concern the
readership in total.

I'm not new on this list but I've got to agree with James Purchase re all the
postings that really could be sent to specific members rather than posted to the
list. Before pressing that "send" key, think whether or not your note is of any
interest to anyone besides you and the receiver.

One thing I do like about the list is the fellowship that exists and all the
legpulling that goes along with it. I agree with Unmack in that if you
participate you'll get more out of this list. Out of anything. I knew maybe five
of the people on this list when I joined. I know of a lot of the others but, I
have come to know some people I've never laid eyes on because I've chosen to
communicate directly with some of them on matters of interest to me. I can take
and give the "mickey" with almost all of them;-). Australians are extremely fond
of razzing each other and everyone else. Just don't continually go over the top
like Unmack does and you'll keep out of trouble;-)This list is a lot more "warm"
than say the plant list!Boring!!

One other thing-Hunter- when you reply to someone could you be a little less
lazy and actually put some reference text in your post so that the rest of us
who have to read your "crap" can at least tell what your talking about;-)!!
