O.K. Mr Co-Chariman, it's your list, you do with it what you want. But the
rest of us have to wade through that crap mixed in with all of our other
e-mail. In my case, that amount to several hundred messages per day. If I
started deleting messages prior to retrieving them I might miss some very
important messages.
I am only new here, so perhaps it's not my place to comment on this, but
while I enjoy the list and find the members most helpful, there are a lot
of posts which are more personal asides to friends than meant for general
consumption. It is a waste of my time to be receiving these - they should
be posted person to person, not to the list, unless they concern the
readership in total.
I also receive the Discus-L list. The software used for that list allows
subscribers a choice, they can get the list in digest format or piece by
piece. Everyone's happy. Couldn't something similar be done here?
