In theory this is a good idea, but it seems to me like a logistical
nightmare. Fish breed rapidly- how can we insure that the fish we
"pedigree" are the ones sold at that pedigree? If they were all sold within
ANGFA / IRG / RSG, then I guess an honor system would work. Nevertheless,
the general trend of recent posts has been that the real problem with
"non-pedigree" fish is not within the specialty groups, but rather with
unscrupulous dealers. Since most new members, I would hazard a guess, get
their fish from pet stores, would ANGFA / IRG / RSG inspect the tanks of
every new member?
In spite of my negativity, I _DO_ think this is a good idea and I
wish someone out there would respond to this and prove me wrong :).
