Hello
I would turn off the lights and leave them alone fo up to three weeks.
When I wish to breed a fish type I often turn the heat down and turn off
the lights and not feed or change the water for a week or 10 days then I feed
them heavy with live foods and change the water and raise the temp a little
with the water change and then most of the time they color up and breed.
I have left my fish with many accomplished fish keeper and they always mess
somthing up so now I just leave them alone and feed em when I return,
Your four day diet will do them more good than harm.
I think it is a good idea to let all but the smallest of fry fast for one
day a week.
