I haven't kept the northern saratoga, but I have kept Hephaestus carbo, the
coal grunter, from the same Qld localities, and they showed heavy stress
below about 18oC.

I doubt very much that the waters in their natural habitats ever get down to
that, remembering that winter is the 'dry', flow is slowed or stopped, blue
skies and bright sun on the water, and a morning in the low 20s is regarded
as quite chilly.

I should imagine a jardini would cost an arm and a leg over there, so I
wouldn't be risking it in those conditions.
