I was hoping that my somewhat vague description would prompt other folks
into coming forwards with some info ;)
I've never kept the furcatas myself because they are just too rare and
valuable in Australia for a klutz like me to kill them :) I've only seen
them RL a few times....
There are some folks in the USA that keep telling everyone that they are as
easy to breed as guppies and are the ideal beginners fish.... I know that
one of these folks is no longer subscribed to the list ;) but there are
others that still are... Maybe this will tempt them to share their secrets?
Alternately there are some guys in Australia who do a fine job keeping what
few of the former Popondettas we have left going, maybe they can add
something too.
