What I found was that if I set up a pond for food culture, when I was
done I would empty out most of the water and put the remainder, with all
the crud from the pond in a 44 gal drum. Typically this would go
somewhat anoxic (lacking in Oxygen due to decomposition of the crud).
Hence, all the hundreds of bloodwarms would swarm around the edges at the
surface and I would just run a small aquarium net around the edge and I
could get almost every last one out with no crud or sifting. Makes
getting a regular supply a little difficult, but still provides an
alternative food for a few days.
