I have had an unplanned breeding in a planted tank with M.praecox. I
didn't have a hatching tank so I have moved the fry into a 2 litre
ice cream tub with light aeration with water from the original tank.
The only problem is I keep finding a new batch of fry every few
days, so I placed the new batch in another 2 litre tub. I am now
running out of tubs and pumps. I tried adding new fry into one of
the established tubs but I think that killed them.
Any advice on how I should handle new fry? Should I try transfering
them all into one larger tank? Or bag and float the new fry into an
established tub in a similar manner to moving adults?
I am rather new to breeding rainbows, my past efforts were all in
ponds where I left it all to them!
Thank you,
Conway
