How many species of hardyheads are in that river. There appeared to be
two. Dion Wedd from the Territory Wildlife Park will put a slightly deeper
body model into the NT Museum shortly. It looks like a blackmast without
the black mast part.
The western rainbowfish for the enthusiast of colourful rainbows are a
disappointment being dull silver blue with slightly pink tails. However
there is a fish there with aquarium potential and that is the Giant
Glassfish (Parambassis gulliveri). There are pictures from Neil Armstrong
and Gunther Schmida on the ANGFA Database, the juveniles about 50 mm are
very attractive aquarium fish.
