I have found just instant oats works well. Use about 1cm in the bottom of a
container. Add some water so it is wet but not soggy (now how ambigious is
that!) then frag in the microwave for 20 to 30 to help break down the oats a
bit. Then smear in some microworm culture and in a week, lots of worms.

This lasts for between 3 to 4 weeks. By 4 weeks it is begining to smell
like raw sewerage though. I try to change mine every 2 weeks.

I have tried bread solo, and bread and beer. Instant oats was suggested to
me by members of ANGFA and it seems to work well.
