Sounds like some of our local biotypes. That's why
collecting with thick bottomed shoes (often old
athletic shoes) is required. A garbage can and long
handled tongs could well be a part of the kit along
with the usual fishing license, nets, buckets and
plastic viewing box.

Saw a clever entry in an aquariun show along that
line.

And picking that stuff up in the Great Lakes means
shaking the cans out so we don't spread any more
exotic gobies around. ;)
