Hi Bruce
We have a gentleman in our local club who goes by the name of Charlie
Grimes who told me about the soy flour. I have not tried it yet but he has
been keeping daphnia alive and feeding them to his fish for years at least the
20 or so that I have known him. He also keeps snails and some of the mulm in
the bottom of the tanks that he raises these bugs in.
What part of the world are you in.
If I was going to bother with them I would use 55 gallon drums or an old
refrigator liner to grow them in. I would also install an incad. 100 watt
bulb directly above each tank for about 12 hous a day.
I collect rainwater from my roof into a 300 gallon trough. In this trough
