some of you may know already the three English or maybe the five
German volumes of Baensch's Atlas (or Mergus Aquarien Atlas)
which have been published during the past few years.
Now there's a new Atlas, and its larger than ever before. The
Photo Index contains more than 4000 (four thousand) photos which
have been published in the first five volumes (more to come!). Of
course the photos are small (about 1.25 to 1.75 ", 31 x 44 mm) and
accompanied only by little information, however, they arranged for
families and are an excellent index to the other volumes. A large part
of the book also contains an alphabetical list of all names and synonyms
used in the five volumes. So it is much easier know to find a certain fish
in this books.
The price, nevertheless, is rather small in this first jubilee edition.
