Interestingly, just as all this discussion on snails starts, my partner, who
is a court reporter, comes home Friday evening with a story of how this guy
was being charged for the smuggling of 6 snails into the country. As it
turns out they were Apple Snails and the defendant claimed he wanted them
for his garden. Penalty as I understand was minimal.
