To cool a water body that runs marine water in the aquarium where I
work we run the water through an old drink chiller. It has a coil
of 13mm irrigation polyethylene in the chilled bath. The water is
pumped through the chiller with a rio 2500 small submersible pump.
The tank is a 1000 liter reln tub with corals and other marine
inverts. We have to slow the flow through the coil to keep the tub
from getting too cold. For other temporary chillers we put a big
bucket full of water in the freezer and coil up small diameter hose
in the bucket then pump the aquarium or pond water through the small
hose. It works well until the power goes off for a while then the
water freezes in the small hose.

Darwin where it is hotter than Brisbane.
