Actually I was referring to the whole Gold Coast and Brisbane strip as BV.
As a southerner driving north, there is a very "Vegas" feel to the area,
lots of flashing lights and glossy signage, something like Dennis Holmes
home page. One expects and gets Elvis.

My own area (which is a collection of insignificant towns) is probably best
compared to Deadwood city only we don't have such a happening pub or Doris
Day popping up with a song now and then. Incase I insult anyone else (who
may happen to live there or who likes Doris D), I think I'll refrain from
telling you where that is. I have told the list several times before anyway
(when I was being less insulting). The fact that I have to collect my own
drinking water should give you some clue to the fact that I choose not to
live in a town at all!

As for which cities equate to which...
well we do have a number of people on this list who have traveled
extensively in both countries! They can make the call.

I just hope that those from the colder states have thicker skins! ;^p

Oh, and we do have a few fish south of the border, I just have trouble
keeping most of them because my house gets too damn hot. Boiled Galaxid...
Mmmm! For some of the others, it just helps if you can appreciate silver!
There is always the humble Empire Gudgeon (arguably our brightest fish).

Later,
Matthew
