Thought this might be interesting to some. Seems the number of
"wild" cichlids is on the increase.....

hello,
I am researching for my doctoral thesis the ecology of introduced cichlids
in northern Queensland, Australia. Can anyone help me with some info (or
references)on the natural distribution and general ecology of the following
species among at least nine cichlids now in open waterways in northern
Australia:
Aequidens rivulatus
Heros severus
Haplochromis bartoni
Hemichromis guttatus
I have spent literally hours trying to find info from a plethora of cichlid
websites withouit much success - the vast majority don't seem to have the
specific information I want (eg. latitudinal range)/can't be accessed/etc
etc.
