It all depends on your colony. I've had fry grow up in the tank with
the adults with no problems. And these have been bare tanks with only
a sponge filter and spawning tubes. The same colony had been eating
all the fry for the previous couple of years. One thing that helps is
very well fed adults. Miss a day and the fry can be gone.
