Well the first day has gone good! We went collecting in the salt river
which isnt actually a river at all, just a large flood plane as the river
is dammed up and as far as I can tell all the water is consumed. This one
spot was just a runoff area that had about 2 feet of water in it. We
collected some of those good ole dambusia's, European carp, tilapia, and
red shinners. Its amazing how things survive in such harsh conditions.
There is no exchange of water in this spot and is quite warm. It is
however depresing at the same time when you see the destruction of a
river for the sake of wattering grass and filling swimming pools. Phoenix
is hot, damm hot and how anyone cuold want to live here is beyond me. So
far the rath has been to a minimum but there has been refrence to a
course in speling!
