Now if I could just figure out something to do with the telemarketers. I
usually just interupt them as soon as I figure out they're trying to
sell me something and say "sorry not interested bye." But I'm wanting to
find something better. My sister was telling me when they say things
like "we'll save you money" she tells them, "Oh I have lots of money I
don't want to save any." She doesn't but she says it shuts them up.
There was a good one on a Sienfeld rerun the other day. He says, "Yes
I'm very interested in your product but I'm really busy right now, why
don't you give me your home phone number and I'll call you back later."
The telemarketer doesn't want to give the home phone, and Sienfeld says,
"Oh you don't want me to call you at home? Now you know how I feel."
I've also thought about just setting the phone down and letting them do
their talk while I go about my business. I did that to one the other
day. She didn't go on as long without me as I hoped. The most annoying
thing is most of the telemarketers I get are associated with my credit
cards, or morgage. Like I don't send them enough already? Anyway sorry
to blabber on off topic so much, but this stuff has really been annoying
me lately.
