Sometimes trifasciatas can be quite difficult to sex - the simplest guide is
the length of the first dorsal. Females have a short, usually rounded fin
that doesn't fold down past the start of the second dorsal. there are many
other pointers but they aren't consistent e'g' colour, body depth, etc etc
