Glaucus was published in September 1990. A total of 21 issues of Glaucus have been
produced up to the end of 1996.
TORPEDO
Electronic News Service
This issue of 'Torpedo' has been deliberately truncated. Please note the new BMLSS
(England) World Wide Web site at the above Uniform Resource Locator.
The latest Autumn/Winter 1996 Glaucus has now been sent to all members. The list
of articles will be on the BMLSS (England) Web Site.
Some people have experienced difficulty at accessing the BMLSS (Scotland) site
over the holiday period. This was because of the implementation of improvements in
the system and this was out of our control. The site should now be working OK.
Wildlife News
Mollusca
Opisthobranchia
The discovery of the Mediterranean species Tylodina perversa on the shore at Looe
in Cornwall is the first record from British seas. Unfortunately, the rarity was not
appreciated and verification by experts was not possible. It is difficult to mistake this
species from any other, so it is likely to be genuine. The discovery was made by John
Makeham (BMLSS). Please request further information.
Torpedo 1997
I have not yet prepared the new 'Torpedo' mailing list for 1997, so you may still
receive this list even if not specifically requested. However, this will be the last one,
unless you indicate that you want to continue receiving it. If you have indicate that
you want your name removed this should have been complied with. However, if you
have first requested to receive 'Torpedo' and then retracted the request, this may have
slipped through the net.
Happy New Year.

Editor of Torpedo, Glaucus and the Shorewatch Newsletter.
