Ive been fooling around withan aquarium strain of R. ornatus. The OSI
microfood worked well. Also real live rotifers if you can culture are
ideal first foods. I was able to raise the next eneration inteh same
tank of with the adults. Did need to seprate them...

Subject: [RML] Question about Artemia and frys

=20

Hello,
5 1/2 nmonth ago I received some eggs of R.Ornatus from G.Maebe.=20
Only 2 of them manage to grow up. Lucky for me it was a male and a=20
female. A few days ago I discovered frys, about 10 of them.=20

Offcourse I would like all of them to grow up. Last time I used=20
liqiud fry food from a bootle the first two weeks. Mayby this food=20
wasn't good enough? So I bougth a artemia hatcher to put into the=20
aquarium.=20

My question, if any of you are using live artemia, do the newborns=20
take live artemia allready, or should I wait for a period until I=20
start the hatcher? ( I have already tested it, but the artemia=20
looked a little bit to big for theese small frys :-) , it was easier=20
to spot them then the frys)

Best regards
