Mccullochi's usually come from softish acid tannin stained streams and
backwaters rather than main streams. The are very adaptable and would
handle your water OK with or without salt but they would look their best in
the conditions above

Hi,
I'm wondering if Melanotaenia maccullochi would require a small amount of
salt in their water or if they prefer none? The information I've seen
indicates they don't need it, however I havent found a heck of a lot of
information ...
Also, I've read that pH7.2 and temp 24C would be fine for them - any
problems here?
