Yes, Glossolepis X Melanotaenia crosses would produce viable fry; just
look no further than those plainer-than-plain "Red Boesmani" hybrids
that're out in the US market now. Ucky! As for these hybrids being able
to produce fry, I couldn't say.
The Bedotia genus hails from Madagascar, and, as such, are not as
closely-related to the "true" rainbowsh of Aust/N.G. With this in mind, I
do not _think_ that they could easily hybridize, but I am not certain on
this. You might want to do a breeding experiment or two to be certain
(destroying any fry you may get, of course) so that you can be sure that
they could be kept together w/out fears of getting "mutts."
