I know that you have put in an enormous amount of work with ANGFA in general and
the newsletter in particular - once the regional group members have formally
gone their seperate ways and those that wish to remain do so... will ANGFA
National remain a viable organisation? I hope so but I think, sadly, that it
will not.
But like Petey said, organisations evolve, maybe it is time for stronger
regional organisations. In the long run the whole native fishkeeping scene may
be better for it. In the short term I don't think that ANGFA will be.
Regards, Andrew

Well, I'm a supporter of one ANGFA not 5 or 6, or whatever way it will end up.
I don't know how many groups are now incorporated but essentially once they
are they will be totally independent Associations just like ANGFA (Qld). The
Qld group might as well be called the Queensland Native Fish Association
just like SANFA in South Australia because that's what it is - a totally
separate organisation ~ there is no regional group in Qld. As the other
groups incorporate what you will eventually end up with will be 5 or more
different Associations and not one as was envisaged in the very beginning,
vis "National Concept".
However, I am also a realist and realise that this trend isn't going to
revert back so it would probably be best if ALL the regional groups become
independent and incorporated then the remaining financial members of ANGFA
National can determine its future.
Adrian.
