Incidently my snail removing procedure is as follows:
Pour all gravel into large (50-60 gallon) container.
Boil kettle
Pour boiling water all over gravel.
Leave for 1-2 days.
Repeat a few times, pouring off the old water.
Drain all the water and I now keep the gravel in a lrg black container
which by accident is out in the sun for 6-8 hours a day. Gets hot in
there <g>.
As for plants, I remove them from their pots and leave them in a tank
for 4 weeks with a pair of hungry eel tailed native Aust. catfish
(cannot remember spp. at moment.)
