Thanks everybody for the advice on leaving my fish alone for a few days
without food. I had forgotten to mention that they are all adult fish. I
would never leave fry without food.

The duck weed was a good idea, last time I added some to the tank it was
gone in 5 days-just about right.
Hopefully by August I will have someone "trained" to watch (feed) the fish.
I tried before about parceling out feeds in separate jars, still a
disaster.

I am confident that the fish will be fine, and if they spawn they can have
caviar for brunch.
