Alfred, you do have a good point. There are a lot of fish out there that
will be impossible to trace because something like this should have been
done early on. Problem is, just like trying to get people to write
articles, this will be to much hassle for most. With the 30 new populations
and species I returned with from Australia last November this would be a
good thing to do with those fish but with all the work I am doing for ANGFA
with the web page and keeping ANGFA of North America going strong, I just
couldn't find the time to do a separate card for all these fish. And then
to make a new one each time I sent some to a different person, well it
would be a ton of work. If you have a good idea that you think would be
easy and effective then I am all ears. If you would like to undertake such
a project I can supply you with the photo's of a lot of the things I
brought back as long as it was a project with ANGFA NA and the RSG working
together. I will not support it if it is just one organization or the
other. I think with your experience with killies you could understand the
population differences better than most.
Let me know your ideas, I will help the best I can.
