Ps.Any of you computer FREAKS out there operating their computer on co-axial
cable? I need some opinions on the following: my cable company is now offering
this service and it sounds very good. It will be a cable expressly dedicated to
internet service. No more using the phone lines to access the net.
Expensive to set switch to: $150 installation fee and $55/mth thereafter. This
includes rental of a cable modem. You get 1Gb of data traffic per month; 5 mb of
personal space w/- 30 mb of traffic permitted per month for your webpage
operation. You can tell I'm reading from the brochure now! More than I could
probably use in a lifetime but, super fast because of the huge increase in
bandwidth and internet ready 24hrs/day. Just turn on and go!
Maybe I'll wait until the price comes down like it has for RAM ;-)
