There really are no hard and fast rules except that the plants should work
with your water and lighting types, and that tall ones go in back and short
ones go in front. :-)
Other than that, just try putting together species in combinations that
please you until the tank looks the way you like it. Look at lots of
pictures of planted tanks and use things that catch your eye in your own set
up, a little section at a time. It's really that easy, and it is about what
YOU like, not what others tell you you should have. :-)
