And if the fish can take it, add salt. LOTS of salt. Sometimes if I can
(like with many livebearers) I just forego the QC and add salt, salt and
more salt. Get 'em firmly into the brackish range (half way to seawater).
That usually does it. Just remember to bring em back down slowly.

Problem is many fish who are QC sensitive (eg: loaches) are also not good
candidates for this salinity increase either. :-(

There is a new drug on the market to treat parasites - Prziquantel. Sold as
Prazi-Pro. Works on all sorts of stuff that is a bear to treat, including
the "mystery pathogen" I was unable to fully clear on some livebearers and
bows. Not cheap, but worth trying for tougher things... if they are
parasitic. Oh, and it works with salt. ;-)
