That is down to 2-3 now and still all males.
Adrian Dawson recently was fortunate enough to get permission from thr
traditional owners to catch some RAINBOWS from the site but all the
juveniles he sent back are Splendidas. He has since been advised by the
original collector where and how to collect the Tris :-(
They are apparently not in great numbers and in deeper water so hard to
locate. Also since they only occur in the community water supply there is a
natural reluctance against unauthorised collecting.
