Mainly to Andrew Hamilton:

yeah its the honey blue eyes that they say should not be in a community
tank. They grow to 20mm .

That's the troube with the spotted blue eyes too. They are so damned
small. You need a microscope to be able to see them.

To the whole list:

Would Werneri and Spotted Blue Eyes be Ok together in a tank? Do they have
the same environment requirements? What other rainbows would go well in a
120cm tank?

Following my problems with the high ammonia reading in my tank - I have
come to the conclusion that it is probably the home made fish food
decomposing because of the high protein content (as well as the heavy fish
load).

However I really like the idea of feeding home made food so does anyone
have a recipe for mainly vegetable food - and I will supplement with
mosquito lavae, ant eggs, a little bit of bloodworm, ........ what else
could I use???
