Ernest, If you would like to be in the loop you say, you may want to join
ANGFA. That is the Australia and New Guinea fishes assn. We have a regional
chapter here in the US and with membership you get 3 publications. The fishes of
Sahul which is published 3 times a year which is probably the nicest fish
publication you can find which comes out of Australia which is in full color and
has articles on the new rainbowfish being collected as well as the other
interesting fish found in OZ. The ANGFA bulletin comes out 4 times a year with
articles on fishkeeping and the fishes from a to z. The ANGFA of North America
bulletin lets you know what is going on here in the US as well as a listing as
to where you can get some of those hard to find Rainbowfish and other OZ natives
here in the US and it also comes out 4 times a year. Membership is 29$ a year
and you can send that to: ANGFA of North America, Roy Hunter,P.O. Box 380, New
Castle Co. 81647 You may also want to join the RSG which also has good info on
Rainbowfish and a fish and egg listing. Inquire with Gary Lang on that one and I
am sure he will help.
