Adrian:

I know of many very experienced fish-keepers, both amatuer and
professional (Yes, myself included.), that would disagree with you on the
"feed frozen food after thawing" idea. Unless you have large-mouthed fish
that swallow big pieces of the stuff whole -- which most of us on this
list do not have -- then I do not believe it can do any harm, and that
thawing it can cause spoilage to begin and some of the nutrients to be
lost (ie: loss of liquid). Even feeding big chunks to larger fish really
should not be much of a problem. Actually, most frozen foods will start
to thaw while they are being chopped into chunks and distributed to the
various aquariums, so waiting any length of time should be unnecessary,
really. Just my 2-cent's worth, as I've never stopped to let foods thaw
and never had any problems as a result of it. :-)
