Where did you get the recipe from?
I don't believe that rainbows require any calcium supplements or any vitamin
additives for that matter, providing you give them a balance diet and
regular water changes. I also don't believe in feeding any animal meats to
fishes. Its just not the right sort of diet. However, I do use some beef
liver which I believe counteracts a vitamin destroying enzyme present in NZ
Whitebait which I use as a major ingredient in my homemade fishfood.
I would try to stick to fish, prawns and other seafoods, freshwater shrimp &
crustaceans, krill etc.etc. also dont feed the food frozen - thaw to room
temperature before feeding (despite early advice to the contary on this list)
But to answer your question - Calcium Ascorbate Pwd. is available at any
health food section in major supermarkets and chemists shops.
