Actually, the difference in the USA between a 1-gallon jug of Genesis =
(dechlorinator) and a 1-gallon jug of a decent brand of dechloraminator =
(Amquel, Prime, etc.) is considerable, and I go through a few gallons! =
;-) It was even more of a cost difference when I used to mix my own =
dechlorinator, but the time factor has nullified this right now.=20

My main arguement for doing this the way I am is that it works, it works =
well, and it has worked well for a number of years, in a number of =
settings (home, shop, wholesale, etc.), on a number of different kinds =
of fish and aquarium setups, and under a number of different water =
conditions (hard/alkaline to soft/acidic). It has never not-worked =
unless I have stupidly forgotten to use anything at all (I have sadly =
skipped a tank once or twice in my career).

So why then should I change it? ;-) It doesn't make sense for me to =
do so based on my experience doing things this way.

The difference in price between a standard chlorine neutraliser and a =
chloramine neutraliser is not worth worrying about so why use a standard =
chlorine neutraliser?=20

Why put your fish through the stress of possible death or gill damage. =
Most of you will have fish worth more than a bottle of chloramine =
remover.

It just doesn't make sense to me ???????
