Brett,

There are still a lot of folks keeping these fish. If you are looking for
something specific just ask here.

Also Santa Fe Tropical Fish has an impressive operation. They carry a
couple of color morphs but their owner, Charles, has told me that there are
very few actual rainbowfish crosses that are viable. While I think the jury
may still be out on that, they do not do themselves many favors by listing
fish like "Melanotaenia species "Orange Tailed Silver" ".

For what it is worth, several of us tried to get the RSG-NA thing restarted
this Spring. My personal interest was to get the species maintenance program
and a healthy fish/egg exchange back in operation. Stephen Boulet mirrored
the old RSG site at rainbowfishes.org and made some updates. Unfortunately
it appears that we couldn't get the momentum to get it going.

Can anyone recommend a reliable rainbowfish source in the US! All of my old
contacts have left the hobby...and all of these hybrid-inbred fish at the
LFS are infuriating!
