Currently I only have juveniles and I want to make sure they are quality
fish before I start spreading them around but I'm sure there are many old
RSGrs on this list that would be willing to send you a mop. Fall provides
optimum shiping temperatures.
It is a shame that the RSG is not active. I have corresponded recently with
about a dozen past members and there seems to be some support to keeping it
alive. The last membership list I saw had about 400 names and I expect a
good precentage of them are still wondering when the next Rainbow Times will
show up! Stephen has done a lot of work on the web site and I volunteered
to do species maintenance/fish-egg list. There were a couple of other
volunteers but no one that could pull it all together.
If there are any old RSGrs (or any one else with an interest for that
matter) that would be willing to participate in a fish-egg exchange or that
have rare or "pedigree" rainbows that would be willing to spread them around
please e-mail me off list. If the response is good I will try to set up an
on-line system and set some ground rules to standardize things a bit.
My apologies to the non North Americans on the list for our use of the
bandwidth ;)

Yes, what are the odds of starting up RSG-NA back up again? I'm
certainly
interested in it. :)

Thanks Lyndle-
I'll start with Santa fe Tropicals and see where that takes me. IMHO,
it's
hard to find Herberts that look like the ones did back in the 80's. As
for
RSG-NA... I was a member up until the mid 90's or so. I let my
membership
lapse when I went off to graduate school. I was disappointed to see
that it
has stagnated. What are the odds of getting it up and running again?
